Heat Exchangers
Starboard Engineering takes pride in designing
and manufacturing Heat Exchangers, applicable to numerous
industrial disciplines, such as, Power Utility, Waste Water
Treatment, Pulp and Paper, Chemical Processing, etc. We guarantee
our products a 100%, through our extensive Quality Control
Plan.
- All our welders are AWS (American
Welding Society) certified.
- Each individual product and material
used in manufacturing the final product have a Certified
Material Specifications from the respective suppliers.
- All manufacturer's stages, such as dimensional
correctness, flatness, etc., are recorded. Any product falling
outside of tolerance limits is rejected.
- Every machine or measuring device used
in manufacturing our products is calibrated and calibration
results documented.
- Each Pressure Vessel is built to ASME
(American Society of Mechanical Engineers) standards.
- Pneumatic or
hydrostatic test is performed on each product to ensure
optimal product performance.
Starboard Engineering produces several types of heat exchangers
that utilize gas and liquid mediums which can consist of air,
water, sea water, oil etc. Below are several common types
of single phase heat exchangers that use one medium or a combination
of mediums:

We offer several styles of Fin Designs that work effectively
in counter-flow or cross-flow conditions (both streams unmixed).
While the Tube Fin is in a staggered formation, it creates
turbulence so that the fin can achieve high heat transfer
efficiency. Below are the types of Fin Tubes that produce
the desired surface performance based on the conditions for
which they are suited.
- Bare Tube
- Circular Fin Tube
- Plate Fin

Our technical staff strives to prolong the mechanical life
of each unit. We know it is important to our customers to
achieve full product potential at a competitive cost. We offer
three levels of corrosive protection.
- Epoxy Coating
- Hot Dip Galvanizing
- Natural Corrosive-Resistent Materials
In the manufacturing process each product
is inspected and tested so that specifications are achieved
before shipping to our customer.

depending on the thermal stresses on the shell
